Ahmadinejad at Columbia University
"Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator" said Columbia University president Lee Bollinger before the president's speech. Also he said that "You are either brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated." Professor Bollinger showed a clear academic behavior and explained some important issues about Iran's troubles today. I think we saw the freedom of speech at the Columbia University where they let Ahmadinejad to say what he wanted.

Thank you!
Thank you all my friends for sharing your opinions with me. I myself like the 8th more than the others. But I wanted to know your ideas.
I'm very happy that Dr. Nili accepted to be co-advisor regarding my MS. project. He is one of the best professors I've ever seen.

11th September
6 years ago, terrorist attack to the world trade center buildings in Manhattan, Newyork City influenced the world. The terrorists killed innocent people for their ideologies. Why do some beliefs make human beings so mad that they can kill other people?
I saw lots of televisions like CNN, BBC, Aljazeera, and … showing reports about that heartbreaking event today. Also IRIB 1 had a program about the 9.11. The goal of the show was to prove that U.S. government planned the attack and they had benefits from doing that!!! I don't know who can believe such an absurd thing??? It seems that Islamic Republic wants to think in an unusual manner about everything and forces Iranian people to believe in that way. Damn on this ideological and religious regime.
P.S.: Poor us, the generation that is enforced to live in this odd situation planned by its previous generation in a revolution.

Happenings of these days
These days, I work hard, studying English and finalizing my papers. One of them seems to be completed and I'm going to submit it to the IFAC2008 conference, tomorrow.
I'm disappointed of working in Iran's industry. They just want to finish projects and quality is not important at all. The company which I work for (Moshanir) is one of the largest companies in power engineering but nothing special is going on here. The system is ill and I think it won't be better in near future.
I've missed happy days when I had enough time to go hiking and go out with my friends a lot.
P.S. : Just the voice remains!!!

Minutes of meeting
Last week, I was on a technical meeting about natural gas counters of Kazeroon combined cycle power plant. The meeting was held on Mapna (Iran Power Plant Projects Management) company. I was there as a consultant and tried to persuade the contractor to buy local counters, but they didn't want to do that. Finally the client(Iran Power Development Company) stated that I am right and according to the contract, contractor should implement local counters but according to value engineering they can neglect the counters!!!
Have you ever heard about value engineering? I think it is discussed in industrial engineering, but I'm sure that its meaning has been changed in Iran's industrial projects. It is funny and also painful. What's your idea
